Exploration

During the exploration process, understanding the link between various information is essential. Maps and GIS are powerful tools in this process. Find your areas of interest by combining knowledge with geographical and cultural data. Visualize your seismic data in 3D and do volume calculations to create the best geographical basis for a drilling plan. Share your results in easy-to-use web applications to make faster and better decisions.

Create an overview

Maps are perfect when you need to collect information. Most data in petroleum companies are
geographical, or related to a geographical feature. With maps, you are able to understand the past,
today’s situation and predict the future in an exploration process.

A map will give you a system connecting data and results from various sources. Combine internal data (i.e. seismic data, well data, interpretations and prospects) with cultural data (license information,
infrastructure and fields) and topographic/ biological data (seabed, coast lines, vulnerable areas,
endangered species).

Having all this information in one system will help you get the perfect background for the right
decisions.Origo Orion

Faster and better decisions using geographical analyses

With data and results collected from different data sources, you can perform analyses and discover
relationships you normally would not see.

You can analyze seismic data together with geographical, cultural and biological data to find areas of interest.

When drilling, you can find the optimal rig position and well path. This is important due to cost
efficiency and future production, as well as reducing risk. Analyzing and visualizing 2D and 3D seismic with geological and cultural data makes it easier to decide the optimal drilling spot in your exploration area.

Share your information

Visualize information and results in a map, and share the map via easy- to- use web apps to team members, management, investors and other stakeholders. This will enable people to understand a
situation, see what needs to be done, and to make quality choices.
